The City of Smithville offers options for receiving electronic notifications for a variety of issues from agendas to public safety.

Choose from E-Notifications through the City website or Nixle text message alerts - or sign up for both!

Nixle is an on-line alert system that sends text messages and e-mails to its subscribers, notifying them of any public safety situations. 

“Nixle can be used to quickly notify our residents of a road closing, accidents or weather issues,” said City Administrator Steve Garrett.  “This is just one more total for us to better communicate with our residents about these kinds of events that can affect their day.” 

City of Smithville residents can register for free at www.nixle.com or by texting their ZIP code to 888777.

E-Notifications are sent from the City website.  You can choose from: Agends & Minutes, Alerts, Bids, Calendar Items, Job Postings, News & Information.  You can choose as many or as few as you want.
