Smithville Lake The City of Smithville, Missouri is a quiet town of about 8,400 residents located just a few minutes north of Kansas City. Smithville is home to excellent schools and many new housing developments.

Rich in history, our family-friendly community is home to the 7,200 acre Smithville Lake with its boating, fishing, hiking, and swimming opportunities. Alongside the lake is the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex with its two challenging 18-hole courses.

Be sure to visit the Heritage District shops in our historic downtown and stay for a bite to eat in one of our many restaurants. Downtown plays host to many events in the Courtyard Park and Octoberfest each Fall.
