Maintenance Updates
- Parks
- Plowed snow through the weekend and cleaned up the streets
- Cleared snow from parking lots, trails, and sidewalks
- Continued maintenance on equipment
- Made minor repairs in the senior center
- Streets
- Prepared and inspected trucks prior to the weekend winter event
- Plowed and treated city streets throughout the storm and during overnight refreeze conditions, performed follow-up checks to ensure no areas were missed
- 103.95 ton of salt used, 3,100 gals of brine made, and 2,600 gals of brine used.
- Performed vehicle maintenance
- Crews inspected and repaired storm boxes throughout multiple subdivisions. Mortar and dirt used as needed for stabilization and repairs
- Several locations identified for future follow-up (lid removal or vacuuming)
- Completed KCMPMA Plumbing Training
- Investigated reported pothole concerns on Jolisa Court
- Straightened stop sign at Woods and Winner (replacement planned after ground thaws)
- Pulled backhoe into shop and replaced fuel filter (water separator filter pending)
- Utilities
- Total Drinking Water Production 6,728,000 gal and treated 4,521,000 gallons of wastewater
- Completed all testing required at the WTP and WWTP
- Conducted weekly chemical level checks at the WTP for ordering
- Crews completed a full inspection on the Southwest Tower
- Back washed filters 1,2,4, and 5
- Repaired leak on the permanganate feed line at the raw water station
- Repaired a leak on the transducer line at the North tower
- Completed 14 work orders, 64 locates completed
- Completed weekly checks of all booster station and towers in the distribution system
- Reported to 3 frozen meter complaints
- Repaired a broken cable on digestor #2
- Repaired a water main break at East Meadow
- Reported to a sewer backup after hours on Liberty Street. The main was not backed up
- Cleared snow at City Hall parking lot on Sunday and shoveled the back walkway
- Repaired pump #1 air relief at Rollins Landing lift station
- Replaced pump #2 air compressor for the vacuum prime system at Quail Ridge lift station
- Repaired equipment and facilities due to winter weather
