Project Updates
- Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Improvements – Rehab work on filter #2 at the WTP is complete and the filter is back online. Filter #3 is currently off-line, and the old media is being removed.
- Commercial Sidewalk - Selby Excavating LLC, the new contractor, began work on November 3 and has made significant progress. The northbound lane of Commercial Avenue, from Hospital Drive to E. Meadows, will remain closed during construction. The project is expected to be completed in February, weather permitting.
- 144th Pump Station (PS) – Epic is making substantial progress with the pump station wet well and force main. Force Main from HWY 169 north to Hwy 92 is nearly complete. The bore under 169 HWY for the 144th street project is underway now.
- Church and Mill watermain replacement – Complete
- City Hall Sewer Line Repair - Completed
- OK Trail – awarded to EPIC Concrete Construction - Project will begin Spring 2026.
- Street Maintenance Program – Awarded to Asphaltic Surfaces. With the Commercial Sidewalk project delayed, the overlay of the Commercial Avenue will be completed next Spring.
- 169/Richardson Signal - MODOT Cost Share application has been approved. City will begin design phase.
- Smith's Fork Lift Station and Rivercrossing project - Construction will begin late February/March.
Maintenance Updates
- Parks
- Maintenance crew took all the Christmas decorations down at City Hall, gazebo, and the courtyard.
- Picked up trash on both sides of 169 up to the spillway.
- Cut trees down at Girls Scout area.
- Maintained Lake Remote trails.
- Streets
- Completed restroom flooring installation
- Performed general vehicle, equipment, and facility maintenance.
- Pothole Repairs:

- 1111 NE 188th
- 206 Main St
- Bridge & Drainage Inspections:
- Inspected Armory Bridge for debris.
- Inspected storm boxes throughout Harbor Lakes subdivision in preparation for repairs.
- Crews cleaned and repaired storm drains and boxes throughout the subdivision. Work included sweeping, mortar repairs, and debris removal.
- Crews completed required safety training sessions.
- Completed the 2025 Street Division Annual Report, documenting:
- 695 closed work orders
- Materials usage and departmental accomplishments for the year
- Utilities
- Total Drinking Water Production 6,552,000 gal.
- Completed all testing required at the WTP.
- Staff will be conducting the final round of asbestos sampling at the WTP. All asbestos has been removed.
- Back washed filter #1 and 2 at the WTP.
- Staff replaced the bleach line from the chemical building to the pipe gallery.
- Staff repaired a leak on the water service feed line to the chemical building.
- Staff replaced the cooling line on high service pump #1.
- Had to perform trouble shooting on the VFD for high service #2.
- Completed 18 work orders
- 45 locates completed
- Completed 1 new water service connection.
- Completed all testing required at WWTP
- Treated 4,694,000 gallons of wastewater
- Completed the second round of dead-end flushing. Currently adding all information to GIS.
- Staff repaired the campground force main. Submitted an SSO report to the state. This line will be replaced this year. Crews also inspected the rest of the area to assure there were no other leaks.
- Staff responded on January 1 to jet a plugged sewer main at 601 Liberty Street.
- Staff responded to replace a broken water meter at 18110 Belinda Drive.
