Winter Weather Alert

A major winter storm is forecast for this weekend, with very cold temperatures and significant snowfall expected.

  • Friday, January 23: Temperatures will drop sharply
  • Saturday, January 24: Snow likely, with totals of 6–7 inches possible
  • Sunday, January 25: Additional snow may continue, adding 4–5 more inches

Safety First:

If you can, please plan to stay home. If travel is necessary:

  • Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination
  • Dress warmly (coats, boots, and layers are a must)
  • Keep your phone fully charged
  • Make sure your gas tank is full—just in case

A Few Helpful Reminders:

  • Check on neighbors who may need assistance
  • Disconnect outdoor hoses to prevent freezing
  • Bring pets indoors or ensure they have a warm, safe shelter (they prefer it inside anyway!)
  • If possible, please park vehicles off the street to help with snow removal

City Operations:

City crews will begin treating streets on Thursday and Friday and will continue plowing and treating roads throughout the storm. Crews are prepared—please be patient and give snowplows plenty of room to work safely.

Thank you for helping keep our community safe and warm this weekend! Stay warm!
