- Activity Center has been closed this week, but there’s work happening behind the scenes!
- Floors have been waxed at the Activity Center
- Finalizing Clay County Senior Services quarterly grant reporting and 2027 funding requests.

Maintenance Updates
- Parks
- Activity Center’s floor has been stripped and waxed to prolong its lifespan
- Finishing touches on OK Railroad Trail including the installation of park bench and bollards to restrict motorized vehicles from the trail
- Lake Fest preparations
- Helped decorate the City’s parade float
- Installed toilet paper dispenser at Diamond Crest restroom
- Streets
- Mowed at: Tillman Rd, Liberty Rd, Liberty St, reservoir banks, Commercial, and 144th
- Sweeper truck at downtown and Lake Meadows.
- Installed temporary no parking signs at City Hall.
- Add 35 tons 1/2” clean gravel to City Hall lot to smooth it out.
- Picked up crash barricades from Liberty.
- Fixed damaged flags downtown
- Spread gravel for water department
- Used vac trailer to locate utilities at Wildflower Pond.
- Fixed hose on skid steer.
- Removed deer from 18473 county line rd.
- Cleaned tractor and sweeper for Touch A Truck.
- Got new crew members PPE.
- Total Drinking Water Production 6,904,000 gal.
- Completed all testing required at the WTP.
- Conducted weekly chemical level checks at the WTP for ordering.
- Backwashed filters 1,2,3,4 and 5 at the WTP.
- Continued working on project high service pump room rehabilitation at the WTP. Currently painting blue and replacing bolts.
- The South tower was struck by lightning. Staff worked to restore communications. Now contractors are on-site to repair.
- Staff repaired the chemical feed pump at the raw water station.
- The south tower is currently off-line for a wash out and inspection.
- Completed 17 work orders
- 64 locates completed
- Completed 3 new water service connections.
- Completed all testing required at WWTP
- Treated 5,091,000 gallons of wastewater
- Completed weekly checks of all booster station and towers in the distribution system.
- Menke Excavating replaced the fire hydrant at 542 Maple Avenue.
- Mid America Pump rebuilt and re-installed the floating aerator for digestor #2 at the WWTP.
- The stator on pump #1 at the day care lift station went out and needed to be replaced. We had one on hand and due to being shorthanded we had Mid America Pump install the new one when they finished installing the aerator.
- Staff reported to Rollins Landing lift station twice to remove un-flushable wipes from the air relief on pump #1. When the air relief is plugged the pump will not work and could cause extensive damage to the pump if not repaired.
- Staff collected 3 E-coli samples and delivered to KCMO lab.
- Mid America Pump rebuilt and re-installed pump #5 at the WWTP influent pump station.
