Did You Know - Smithville is Always Making Improvements
Smithville is working to make needed improvements to aging infrastructure throughout the City.
Several improvement projects are moving forward in the Forest Oaks neighborhood, including the sidewalk replacement program and curb and gutter replacement. Mill and overlay work is scheduled to begin in early August.
The Smith’s Fork force main is also under construction, along with the River Crossing waterline replacement project.
Other projects include the Riverwalk Trail, Second Creek Sidewalk, and Bridge Street Roundabout, which are wrapping up final design and MoDOT review. These projects are expected to bid later this summer.
The Dundee Road Stormwater Improvements Project is currently under design, with construction scheduled for 2027. The 169/Richardson Signal Project recently received MoDOT cost-share approval and is expected to begin the design phase this summer. Final design for the new Stonebridge Pump Station, which will replace two existing pump stations, is anticipated to be ready soon.
