Did You Know - The Dos and Don'ts of Recycling

RecyclingDos and Don't of Recycling is important because it helps to reduce the production of new materials, which in turn reduces our carbon footprint. It also has an environmental impact by reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and incinerators.

 

Visit the City’s website for the Recycling Guidelines on what can and cannot be recycled.

  • Do not bag items for recycling
  • NO GLASS in curbside recycling
  • NO food items.
  • Please rinse all cans and containers.

 

You can also request additional recycling containers from GFL Environmental at 816-380-5595 for no additional charge.

 

Glass can be recycled in the Ripple Glass container located at Price Chopper.

 

Cardboard can be recycled in the bins directly behind City Hall on West Meadow Street. Please break down the boxes.
