Senior Services Updates
- Thank you, Megan, from TGR Living in Gladstone for sponsoring Super Bingo for us this Thursday!
- We enjoyed a full week celebrating August birthdays on Monday followed by our monthly cookout lunch on Wednesday.
- Worked on the Missouri Master Plan on Aging Regional Grant Application through Clay County Senior Services, which funds projects for improving the lives of older adults in a wide range of topic areas.

Maintenance Updates
- Parks
- Mowed all city parks
- Streets
- Completed base asphalt repairs on 176th St in preparation for asphalt overlay. Using approximately 80 tons of type 5 base rock and 86 tons of asphalt for entire project.
- Mowed roadsides along 169 Hwy from Second Creek rd. to Price Chopper on both sides.
- Continued leveling off asphalt millings at City lot on Second Creek that are being hauled from Forest Oaks overlay project.
- Completed base asphalt repairs on 176th st in preparation for asphalt overlay. Using approximately 80 tons of type 5 base rock and 86 tons of asphalt.
- Mowed roadsides at 180th st from Eagle Pkwy to 169 Hwy, North Main St. and South Commercial Ave. from 92 Hwy to Shamrock Way.
- Conducted driveway inspection at 13722 N. Virgina Ave
- Had dead tree cut down and removed on the side of H&H Lake Rd
- Removed tree that fell across Woodland Ave
- Utilities
- Total Drinking Water Production 7,785,000 gal.
- Completed all testing required at the WTP.
- Conducted weekly chemical level checks at the WTP for ordering.
- Backwashed filters 1,2,3,4 and 5 at the WTP.
- Installed check valve on Bleach Line.
- WTP · Flushed 5 fire hydrants
- Lost all communications with north booster (operating by hand)
- Staff completed ground maintenance at WTP
- Completed 23 work orders
- 72 locates completed
- Completed all testing required at WWTP
- Treated 5,917,000 gallons of wastewater
- Completed weekly checks of all booster station and towers in the distribution system.
- Collected and delivered 3 E-coli samples to the KCMO laboratory.
- Staff repaired the hydrant 14790 169 HWY
- Completed the monthly sample at the WWTP and delivered to Pace Analytical
- Staff repaired the fire hydrant at 109 Wysteria
- Staff repaired the fire hydrant at 703 Liberty Road
- Staff completed ground maintenance at WWTP
