Many batteries contain toxic materials that can leak into our soil and water, posing serious health risks. Plus, some batteries can even explode in the trash collection truck if damaged or improperly disposed of! 💥🚛

Here are the types of batteries you should NEVER put in the trash:
- Lithium-ion (Li-ion) 📱💻
- Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) 🔧📞
- Nickel-metal Hydride (NiMH) 🔋
- Lead-acid 🚗🔌
- Alkaline and Zinc-carbon 🖲️🔦
Recycle Batteries- Button cell (small electronics) ⏰🎧

Instead, recycle them for FREE! ♻️ You can attend a Household Hazardous Waste Mobile event or drop them off at the Kansas City Water Environmental Campus.
