Draft Strategic Plan Available for Community Review

The City of Smithville’s Draft Strategic Plan is now available for community review. The Board of Aldermen will on the draft plan during the November 3 Work Session. You can watch this discussion in-person or on Youtube. 

Residents are encouraged to review the draft plan and share their feedback as the City works toward finalizing its strategic priorities.

Community Survey

A community survey will be available beginning Monday, November 9, through Friday, November 20. The survey provides an opportunity for residents to share feedback on the draft plan and help inform the City’s strategic priorities.

In-Person Community Review Sessions

Residents are also invited to attend one of the following sessions to review the draft plan and provide feedback:

  • Monday, November 9: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Mid-Continent Public Library

  • Tuesday, November 10: 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at City Hall, Board Meeting Room

Next Steps

The final Strategic Plan is scheduled to be presented to the Board of Aldermen for consideration on December 15.

Community input is an important part of the strategic planning process. The City encourages residents to review the draft plan and participate in the survey or an in-person session to help shape Smithville’s future priorities.
